Avui parlarem de phrasal verbs amb “get” que et seran molt útils a l’hora d’utilitzar-los en una conversa en anglès.

Els phrasal verbs són frases idiomàtiques formades per un verb i una preposició o adverbi. Són molt útils sobretot a l’hora de parlar en anglès, ja que ens aporten fluïdesa i demostrem coneixement de la llengua. En aquest post us donem 5 combinacions diferents amb el verb “get”, un dels verbs amb més significats i més difícil a l’hora d’utilitzar-lo:

1. Get back

Significa tornar o  retornar a un lloc en el qual s’ha estat abans

I must get back there (He de tornar allà) o Getting back to what I was saying.(Tornant al que estava dient)

2. Get along

Es tradueix per portar-se bé amb algú.

I hope you get along with John (espero que et portis bé amb el John)

3. Get by

Significa espavilar-se.

What if we get by wihout them? (perquè no ens espavilem sense ells?)

4. Get Away

Entenem get away per allunyar-se o escapar-se d’alguna cosa o d’algú.

Get away from her! (allunya’t d’ella)

5. Get through

Get through en canvi pot tenir dos significats, en primer lloc, acabar amb una cosa l’abans possiblesempre seguit de l’article with. O també pot significar, fer que una persona entengui alguna cosasempre seguit de l’article to. 

It was a difficult work, but we got through it (ha sigut una feina difícil, pero hem pogut acabar-la l’abans possible).

We got through them without any problem. (Ens hem entès amb ells sense cap problema).
